What Durex India is and what the offer is
Durex India is the online store for Durex products in India: condoms, lubricants, massagers and vibrating rings, sleeves, restraints, couples' games and play kits. The store is not run by the brand directly. The terms say Durex selected VLPCPL Wellness Private Limited as its official selling agent, and that company's general terms apply to every purchase. That matters for the money side because the company, not the brand, is the contracting party and the name on the card statement.
Two kinds of saving sit on the site. The first is plain markdown: product tiles show a current price, a percentage off and a higher price beside it. The second is a loyalty scheme called Durex Club or Rewards, which gives new members a welcome gift of points and pays out further points on purchases. There is no trial and no recurring charge, since every purchase is a one-off order. The questions that matter are what the markdowns are measured against, how the points convert into money, what delivery costs, and how narrowly returns are drawn. The toys sit in the Massagers menu: the vibrating ring, a rabbit-style massager, a bullet, two sleeves for men, a wand and a couples' toy called Play A-Game.
Marked-down prices and the points scheme
The home page and shop pages show each item as a price, a percentage in brackets and a higher figure. The terms say prices include GST where applicable. The pages show the higher figure beside each percentage without saying what it is based on, and they do not say how long a markdown lasts. Several items also show a note about a GST benefit, with a percentage drop, on the massager and plaything lines. The terms add a line saying no discount applies to two named items, the Real Feel play kit and the Vibe for pleasure.
In October 2026 the shop pages listed the Intense Vibe Ring at ₹549, shown as 26% off ₹749. Massagers and couples' playthings show larger percentages than most condom and lubricant packs, which mostly sit in single digits, and the playful restraints carry the deepest cut on the home page. Percentage gaps differ widely by line, so the figure to read is the one on the product tile. A few items, such as one card game, show a single price with no percentage at all.
The rewards page is the second offer, and its mechanics are stated in four steps: join, earn, refer, redeem. In October 2026 it gives a new member 1500 reward points on joining, after creating an account. Spending earns points at a stated rate per rupee, capped per order beyond the welcome points, and referring a friend brings the referrer one coupon and the friend a smaller one. Points convert at Rupee 1 for every 10 points. The limits are stated too: a per-transaction ceiling on points redeemed, a minimum of 400 points to redeem, and a minimum order value of Rs 499. The page gives no expiry for points and no end date for the welcome gift.
What happens after the order
There is no renewal, so the after-order mechanics are about cancellation and replacement. No coupon code is printed anywhere on the brand's pages, although the GST explanation refers to a coupon discount.
Orders are dispatched 24 to 48 hours after they are received, with tracking details sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp. The delivery page gives standard timelines of 4 to 6 days for metros and 6 to 8 days for non-metro destinations. Delivery is charged according to order value: the page says the greater the order value, the lesser the delivery charge, and tells the buyer to check the order summary. The home page also carries a "Free Express Shipping*" line with an asterisk, and the pages do not spell out what the asterisk refers to.
Packaging is plain brown cartons with no branding or product description. If nobody is home, two further delivery attempts follow on successive days.
Billing and payment
The general terms state that, because the selling agent sells Durex products, the buyer's credit card statement will show a purchase from VLPCPL Wellness Private Limited. That is the one billing descriptor the pages give. The delivery page lists internet banking, cash on delivery on selected pincodes, and Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express credit and debit cards issued in India. The terms say payment is due directly after ordering and that the operator takes no extra charges for payment transactions. The pages do not name a payment gateway; they refer only to trusted gateway partners using secure encryption.
GST is described as a single tax that replaces other indirect taxes, calculated on the net payable amount, meaning MRP minus product discount and coupon discount, at a rate that depends on the product category. If a purchase is returned or canceled, the page says the GST charged is returned to the source account with the rest.
Cancellation, replacement and refunds
The terms and the delivery page do not agree, and a buyer should read both. The delivery and returns page says that once a cancellation request is raised, the order is canceled immediately if it has not been dispatched, and that no cancellation is accepted after dispatch. A buyer can still refuse the parcel at the door if it has been dispatched, but the page adds that no return requests are entertained once the delivery is accepted. Cancellation is requested by writing to the support email address given on the page.
The same page says the products fall into a non-returnable and non-replaceable category, with replacements processed only for wrong, missing, damaged or defective items. For those, the customer must make contact within 48 hours, the product must be unused and in its original packaging, and an unboxing video is required, with photos of the outer box and the carrier label and of all products received. The general terms, by contrast, give the consumer a right to repudiate the contract without giving reasons for 7 calendar days from receipt, with the buyer carrying the return costs, and say a payment is returned no later than 30 calendar days after return or withdrawal. The terms also list exclusions to the withdrawal right, including goods that are obviously of a personal nature. The delivery page's own rule leaves no route for a change-of-mind return once a parcel is accepted, and a replacement claim stands or falls on the unboxing video and photos.
For escalation the FAQ names a grievance officer, reachable if customer care has not replied for 7 days, with an answer promised within 48 hours.
What the money buys and who it suits
The store sells Durex-branded products only. Beside the massagers, vibrating rings and sleeves, it sells lubricants, card and board games, an eye mask, restraints, candles and ready-made play kits. The brand's own pages describe a long product history and a quality-testing program, but those are product claims and not part of the offer.
The offer suits a buyer who already wants the brand and plans to order again, since the points scheme pays back only after spending, and the redemption floors on points and on order value mean the welcome gift cannot be spent on a very small basket. It suits less well a buyer who wants to try an item and return it if it disappoints, because the delivery page treats the products as non-returnable. A buyer should also expect a delivery charge on a small basket and read the asterisk on the free shipping line before assuming it is waived.
