What the offer is

Sinvention, which its pages also call the Church of Sinvention, is a Canadian maker and shop in Stratford, Ontario. The About page says the company began making leather gear in the 1990s, started officially as WLC/Sinvention in 1999 and opened its retail storefront in 2010. The terms name Ware Leather Corporation as the company behind the site. The store sells its own handmade leather restraints and related gear, plus sex toys from other makers, lubricants, lingerie, books and similar items. Its home-page description reads "Our Canadian leather bondage gear factory, adult store and sex education center".

The saving takes the form of sale sections, one for its own gear and one for toys, in which each item shows a regular price, a sale price and a percentage. Around them sit a free-shipping tier, a lifetime warranty on the maker's own gear and pricing in Canadian dollars for Canadian visitors. Nothing is sold by subscription, so a markdown is a one-time cut on the item it is attached to. The point a Canadian buyer should weigh first is that the maker's own gear is made to order, so a discount can come with a wait of weeks.

The sale sections and the shipping tier

The home page heads its marked-down block "Limited Time Sales", and the navigation lists "Sale on Bondage Gear" and "Sale on Sex Toys". None of these pages gives an end date, so the label does not tell a buyer how long a price will stand. As of October 2026 the gear sale page shows percentage cuts that run from small to moderate. The Lust Collection Restraints go from $95.00 CAD to $85.00 CAD, marked 10% off. Other pieces in the same section, such as padded restraint sets, carry smaller cuts of a few percent, and a few items in the section show a single price with no cut at all.

The toy sale page marks down other makers' products with wider swings. In October 2026 its deepest cuts include the Rimba Electro Sex Glove Set, marked 31% off, while a Magic Wand Rechargeable, a mini rabbit vibrator and a Womanizer clitoral stimulator sit at smaller reductions. One product on the page is labeled sold out, so a listed sale price does not guarantee stock.

In October 2026 the home page banner promises free shipping on orders over $250 CAD. The ordering page gives the detail: Canadian orders exceeding that amount, measured on the pre-tax subtotal, ship free by Canada Post Expedited Parcel, remote locations excluded, and the shop contacts the buyer about fees in those cases. Below the threshold, the FAQ lists a flat $20 CAD rate for Canada and says a minimum order value applies for shipping. An order below the minimum is offered store pickup only, which is free. Canadian parcels go by Canada Post Expedited Parcel or Canpar, are insured and tracked, and travel as "Do Not Safe Drop", so a buyer who is out collects the parcel with ID that matches the shipping name.

After the order: made-to-order gear, duties and credit

The sale price buys a product that may not exist yet. The FAQ says every Sinvention-branded item is handcrafted in house and advises 6-10 weeks as a worst case, while the ordering page quotes 6 - 8 weeks and adds that busy seasons from late fall through Valentine's Day may take longer, so the pages disagree by a few weeks. Rush orders are sometimes possible, and the ordering page says a rush fee applies, the amount depending on the items. Toys from other makers are not described as made to order. The order status in the account moves from processed to payment received, in production and shipped.

For buyers shipping to the United States, the FAQ explains that orders over the free-shipping threshold travel free by DHL Express, and that import duties, taxes and any brokerage fees are the buyer's responsibility, because the US duty-free treatment of low-value parcels was suspended in 2025. The FAQ says DHL customers had so far reported nothing payable on delivery, but an update on the ordering page dated August 24, 2026 says the shop can no longer tell US buyers what to expect at the border. The pages state that goods cannot be declared as gifts to avoid import fees. International orders have flat DHL rates by order value, shown at checkout, with a note that destinations such as Japan, Australia and New Zealand show "TBD" and are quoted after the order.

The pages describe no pre-selected add-on at checkout, no auto-renewal and no subscription. A phone number is required for every order, and parcels leave in a plain box with WLC or Ware Leather Corporation as the return address.

Billing

The ordering page says online orders are all paid through PayPal, that no PayPal account is needed, and that PayPal is the payment processor through which any credit card can be used. The FAQ answers the statement question directly: when a buyer pays by Visa, MasterCard or American Express, the company name on the statement appears as Sinvention, and a Canadian customer who sends an Interac e-transfer sees Ware Leather Corporation on the bank statement.

For international orders that the shop quotes by hand, the shipping dues are collected through a PayPal request after the order is packed. The currency shown follows the visitor's location: buyers in Canada see Canadian dollar pricing, and US and international customers are offered US dollars, with euros also listed in the header's currency switch. The FAQ also gives US dollar figures for its shipping tiers, labeled approximate and based on conversions, so a US buyer should treat those as indicative.

Getting out

The cancellation window is short and tied to the make-to-order process. As of October 2026 the ordering page says a buyer who wants to cancel Sinvention-branded items should do so within 48 hours, and after that should email the shop to learn where the order stands. If the items have already been made, a 30% re-stocking fee applies. Items from other makers can be canceled within 48 hours of receipt if the order has not shipped, and the page says a refund is then processed less a re-stocking fee. Once a product has shipped, the page sends the buyer to the Returns Policy.

In October 2026 that policy is firm on money. The page says the shop issues no cash, check or credit card refunds, only store credit. A change-of-mind return needs prior approval, must be new, unopened and unused, and earns store credit less a 30% re-stocking fee, with return shipping at the buyer's cost. Items that touch bodily fluids, along with custom and made-to-measure pieces, are final sale. A damaged or incorrect item needs a Return Merchandise Authorization requested by email or phone within 10 days of the invoice date, the return goes by an insured, tracked, signature-required postal method at the buyer's cost, and store credit is issued 7-10 business days after the parcel is fully received. A refused or unclaimed parcel gets in-store credit minus the return shipping, brokerage and duty the shop incurs, minus the same re-stocking fee on each item.

On warranty, the home page promises a "Lifetime Warranty On Sinvention Gear", which the FAQ describes as cover against manufacturing defects on items the shop makes. The ordering page says the shop will repair or replace its own items free of charge when they fail under normal usage, as the shop judges it, and not when abused or misused; normal wear and tear and shipping costs are not covered. For toys, a Church of Sinvention sex product found defective within 30 days of the invoice date is replaced at no charge if a replacement is available, and after that window the claim goes to the toy's manufacturer.

What the money buys, and who it suits

The money buys leather restraints and related gear made by the shop, and a wide shelf of other items: vibrators, dildos, glass and steel toys, masturbators, cock rings, harnesses, lubricants, arousal creams, lingerie and books. The toy sale section carries other makers' products, and the gear sale suits someone who already knows the maker's leatherwork and will wait for a made-to-order piece.

The offer fits a Canadian buyer who wants a named product at a lower number and accepts store credit as the main return remedy. It fits less well a buyer who wants a cash refund, a free change-of-mind return or a fixed delivery date for handmade gear. Shoppers in the United States should add duties and possible brokerage to the price before comparing, and anyone paying by e-transfer should expect the company name, not the store name, on the bank statement.
