What The Stockroom is and what the offer looks like

The Stockroom is an online retailer of bondage restraints, sex toys, fetish wear and BDSM furniture, and its pages say it has been selling since 1988 from Los Angeles, where it also runs a showroom. Its own range includes in-house collections, and it carries outside brands such as Womanizer, We-Vibe, Lelo, Fleshlight, Doc Johnson and Lovense. Its About page tells the founding story as a response to kink gear priced out of reach: the aim was "being kinky shouldn't mean being broke".

It is a shop, not a membership. There is no trial, no subscription and no renewal, and the pages describe one order at a time. The money angle is therefore a retail one: same-item markdowns on selected products, a sale collection that needs no code, an October-themed promotion with a free gift threshold, a free-shipping line for domestic orders, and a written return policy with a restocking fee in specific cases.

The markdowns and the October sale

The markdowns are visible on the Best Sellers collection, which prints a regular price, a sale price and a percentage tag on the marked-down items. In October 2026 a leather collar showed a regular price of $42.00 and a sale price of $29.40 with a -30% tag. Other items on the same page were listed at their regular prices with no sale tag, so the discount is selective and not across the board.

The shop's FAQ answers the coupon question in one line: "The best way to find active Stockroom discount coupon codes is by joining our newsletter or SMS list." It points to the gear on sale with "no coupon code required", and no code is printed on any of the pages.

On top of that sits a named seasonal promotion. As of October 2026 the home page banner reads "LOCKTOBER IS HERE" with "SAVE UP TO 30%" and "FREE HEART-SHAPED LOCK ON ORDERS $99+ - WHILE SUPPLIES LAST". The banner gives no end date, does not say which products the percentage covers, and does not say whether the $99 line is counted before or after shipping and tax. "While supplies last" is the only limit it names, and the name ties it to the month.

Shipping thresholds

As of October 2026 free domestic shipping applies on orders of $119 or more, a line the home page repeats in its banner and its FAQ and the shipping page spells out. The shipping page adds that it is valid on US orders with a merchandise total of $119.00 or more, that turn-around for the free option is 5-10 business days, and that standard rates apply to other shipping methods. It is not available for all locations in Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. The shop also ships to most countries worldwide, with options and delivery estimates shown at checkout.

For international orders the policy is specific. The shop ships duties and taxes unpaid, so VAT, import duties or taxes are charged on arrival in the customer's country and cannot be predicted by the shop. It will not issue a refund or credit for items seized by customs that are not returned, and refused or unclaimed parcels that incurred return shipping charges are billed to the card. The country selector shows US dollar prices for every country listed, so a non-US reader sees dollar prices before duties are added.

Billing and the statement

Billing gets little space. The only payment wording is in the exchange rules, which bill new shipping charges to "the original credit card"; no processor and no billing descriptor are named, so the name a charge carries on a statement is not given. What the pages do say is that privacy is guaranteed, that all packages are shipped discreetly, and that orders go out in plain, unmarked packaging with no identifying labels. The cart notes that taxes, discounts and shipping are calculated at checkout.

Returns, cancellations and the restocking fee

The return policy is the most detailed written term on the site. All returns need a return authorization number, requested from customer service by email or phone with the order number, full name and reason. Requests must be made within 30 days of delivery unless a shorter limit is given. Returns must be unworn, unused and brand new, in original packaging, with the authorization number written on the outside of the package.

Several categories are not returnable. They include any item designed to contact the genitals or bodily fluids, drop-ship items, custom-made items, dungeon furniture, sex machines and similar large items, items with broken hygiene seals, and clearance or final-sale items marked as such at purchase. Hygiene-sensitive and drop-ship items are accepted back only if damaged or defective, and then for store credit or replacement. A reader buying a marked-down item should check whether it is flagged as clearance, since the policy excludes those.

Refunds go to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after the shop receives and inspects the return. Store credit is offered as an alternative and is issued immediately on inspection. Return shipping is the customer's cost unless the return is the shop's error or the item is damaged or defective. As of October 2026 the policy deducts a 20% restocking fee and the round-trip shipping costs from the refund when a parcel comes back after missed delivery attempts, a refusal of delivery or an incorrect shipping address given after order confirmation. Latex garments, and leather items that do not contact bodily fluids, have a 7-day exchange window for size or fit, and the customer pays the shipping both ways on an exchange unless the shop made the error. In-store pickup orders unclaimed after 90 days are canceled and carry a 15% restocking fee.

Cancellation is simple. Before shipment the policy gives a full refund with no fees, a custom or made-to-order item must be canceled within 24 hours of the order and before production begins, and after shipment the standard return policy applies.

What the money buys, and who it suits

The money buys physical goods: restraints and cuffs in leather and other materials, collars, impact tools, gags, hoods, chastity devices, vibrators and dildos, electrosex toys, fetish wear in latex and other fabrics, and furniture and swings. The site also sells lubricants, condoms, books and education items, and offers local pickup at the Los Angeles showroom on Glendale Boulevard, open every day from noon with later hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Wholesale accounts are offered to qualified resellers and professionals.

It suits a buyer with a specific item in mind who can reach the free-shipping or free-gift threshold, someone who prefers a long written return policy over a vague one, and a US shopper who wants a store with a physical showroom. It suits less well a shopper who needs the payment processor or the statement name before buying, since the pages do not give them, and anyone who plans to buy a large piece of furniture or a machine and expects to be able to send it back.
