What Boutique Voila is and where the saving sits
Boutique Voila is the online store of Velvet Brands, LLC, which the terms of service name as the operator of the site. The about page calls it a small family business in Brooklyn, NY that designs and sells its own sex toys, and it lists its product lines: Voila, a range of bedside novelties; The Thruster, thrusting dildos; L'Acier, stainless-steel vibrating dildos; and Gleam, a lubricant. Most items on the store are therefore the maker's own products and not other brands, with one visible exception on the home page, a Bluetooth app-controlled toy from Lovense. The store covers toys for women, men, couples, anal play, fantasy designs and male toys.
The saving sits in a discount collection that prints an earlier price beside a lower current one, in bundle boxes priced below an earlier combined figure, and in a newsletter offer on a first order. The catch sits in the returns rules: refunds are paid as store credit, only for unopened products, and one page of the site says all sales are final.
The discount collection and the bundles
The discount collection, headed "Discount Sex Toys", carries the line "Special deals right now!" and gives no end date for any deal. The prices appear in Swiss francs, written as CHF, and the store has English, French and Spanish language options. In October 2026 a silicone bullet vibrator shows CHF 16.00 beside an earlier CHF 22.00, and toys for men and a clitoral suction toy carry similar pairs, each tile with a percentage-off badge. Several items show a single price with no earlier figure.
Bundles are priced as one product with an earlier and a current figure. In the October 2026 listing the Goo Green bundle, a thrusting toy plus a clitoral suction toy, shows CHF 152.00 against CHF 173.00, and a larger set on the home page pairs a thrusting dildo with a metal vibrating dildo and a lipstick vibrator at a printed reduction of its own. The pages do not say what the earlier price represents, so a bundle's saving is the one printed on the page rather than a comparison with buying the items one at a time.
Some products on the page are marked sold out, including a metal L'Acier dildo and a suction vibrator, so a badge does not guarantee availability.
Newsletter offer and account sign-up
As of October 2026, at the foot of the discount page a box reads "Get 15% off your first order" and asks for a newsletter sign-up for special offers, product updates and tips. No page prints a code, a minimum spend or an expiry for it. The account registration box adds a separate promise of early sale access plus tailored new arrivals and promotions. The FAQ sets the coupon rule: unless otherwise specified, only one coupon code can be applied per order and it cannot be combined with other codes. The store also runs a text-message program, which the terms say can be stopped by replying STOP.
The terms of service add that product prices are subject to change without notice, that the store may limit or cancel quantities per person, household or order, and that it may cancel an order if the pricing on the site turns out to be wrong, including after the order is placed. Those clauses apply to every offer on the store.
Returns, credit and warranty
Two pages describe returns and they do not agree. The refund policy, effective 1-20-2025, says purchases made directly from the store may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a refund in the form of a website credit that never expires. Returns are for unopened products only. The credit equals the price of the product and excludes shipping, tax and insurance, and a purchase made with a gift card is refunded to a gift card. A return starts by emailing customer service, who then send instructions. The policy states that refunds are processed as a gift card for store credit.
The FAQ page says something stricter: as per industry standards, pleasure products may not be returned or exchanged and all sales are final. It adds that a shipping charge is refunded only where an error caused the return. The warranty is also stated twice. The FAQ gives a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in workmanship or materials, while the refund policy says defective products are under warranty for three years with proof of purchase. A defective product is replaced with the same or an equivalent item, and the policy notes that models, features and colors change every year, so the replacement may differ. Warranty claims need a receipt or other proof of purchase, and purchases made through other retailers are subject to those retailers' policies. For goods that arrive damaged or already opened, the FAQ asks for an email with a photo of the packaging and promises a review within 2 business days.
Billing, shipping and cancellation
The FAQ states how a charge appears: it will not carry the brand name, and all charges appear as VHC, LLC. The discreet-shipping page identifies VHC, LLC as Velvet Holding Company, LLC, and says the shipper is named on the label with no other markings on the outside of the packaging. Parcels go out in plain brown cartons, with white cartons used for bundle boxes. Beyond that statement line, the terms of service say only that the store is hosted by Shopify and that credit card information is encrypted during transfer; no processor or wallet list appears.
Shipments leave the same day or the next day for most orders. Most domestic shipments are carried by UPS ground, and international orders go by FedEx with duty prepaid, although the FAQ warns that a customs authority may still add VAT or duty. The pages state no shipping prices, so the cost shows at checkout. Shipping insurance is offered and recommended; with it a claim goes to the store, and without it to the carrier. The pages give no procedure for canceling an order. A wrong address can be corrected only within a very small window after the order is placed, by email, because the FAQ says most orders are completed within hours and handed to the carrier.
What the money buys, and who the offer suits
The money buys the maker's own range, with the store handling warranty claims directly. The home page shows a "Hot Deals" block of discounted toys, and the account box mentions early sale access. The offers suit a shopper who has already chosen a product in one of the maker's lines, is content with store credit if the product is unwanted, and wants the marked-down price or the newsletter discount on a first order. They suit a bundle buyer who values the printed saving against the earlier bundle price.
They suit less well anyone who expects a refund to the card. The refund policy pays credit only, the FAQ says sales are final, and the two pages conflict. The coupon rule in the FAQ also limits an order to one code.
