What Adult World is and what the offer is

Adult World is an Australian adult retailer that sells online and through physical stores, listed on its site as Beaconsfield, Bankstown, Darlinghurst and Newtown. Its about page says it has been serving Australians for over 30 years, which is the brand's own statement. The range covers toys for her and for him, clitoral stimulators, body essentials, anal toys, couples' toys, cock rings, dildos, games and novelties, with brands such as We-Vibe, Womanizer, Satisfyer, Lelo, Tenga, Fleshlight, Pjur and Swiss Navy on the filter list.

As of October 2026 the standing offer is a banner that runs across every page: 10% off storewide, with the code WELCOME10 entered at checkout. Alongside it sits a free-shipping banner for larger orders, and a number of products carry a sale price printed beside a higher regular price. Adult World sells goods order by order, so each saving is a one-time reduction on a single purchase and no plan sits behind it.

The discount code, sale prices and shipping threshold

The code is printed in the page header on the home page, the shop pages and the terms pages alike. In October 2026 the banner reads "10% OFF STOREWIDE - USE WELCOME10 AT CHECKOUT", and a second banner offers free shipping on orders over $100. The pages do not say how long the code runs, whether it is limited to a first order or to new customers, whether it can be used once per customer, or whether any product is excluded. The word storewide is the only scope the banner gives.

Whether the code stacks with the sale prices is a separate question, and the terms answer it only in general. The promotions clause says discounts and coupon codes are subject to individual campaign terms, may not be combined with other offers unless expressly stated, and may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time. The banner does not state that the code combines with marked-down products, so a reader who wants both should enter the code at checkout and look at the total before paying.

The sale prices themselves are shown as a sale price next to a regular price. In October 2026 the home page lists a Chorus Pro at $229.99 against a regular price of $364.99, and a Womanizer Rose at $74.99 against a regular price of $89.99. Other best-sellers on the same row, such as the We-Vibe Jive 2, Sync Go and Moxie, carry the same two-price format, while a few budget items show a single price only. The page prints no end date for any of these markdowns.

The terms add that prices are displayed in Australian dollars, include GST where applicable, exclude shipping fees unless specified, and are subject to change without notice. Adult World also reserves the right to cancel orders where a pricing error has occurred, so a price that looks too low can be withdrawn before the order is accepted. The terms state that submitting an order does not itself amount to acceptance.

What happens after you pay

Every purchase is a single payment in full before the order is dispatched, which is what the terms state in the pricing and payment clause, and nothing converts or renews afterward. Risk in the goods passes to the customer on delivery, and the terms warn that redelivery or reshipping charges may apply where a customer supplies incorrect address details. The newsletter box in the footer promises new product announcements, updates and discounts to people who sign up, but the pages do not describe what that discount is, so nothing about it can be counted on.

The terms also mention loyalty programs, giveaways and gift cards in general. Gift cards are described as redeemable for products sold by Adult World, not redeemable for cash except where required by law, usable only before any expiry date stated at purchase, and treated as cash if lost or stolen. The pages describe no points scheme, so the loyalty reference is general wording only. Same-day delivery is mentioned as a service that may be offered, subject to location, stock, driver availability and cut-off times, with extra fees depending on distance, and the terms add that the estimates are indicative only and not guaranteed.

Billing and payment

The pages do not list accepted payment methods and name no payment processor. The third-party services clause refers to payment providers and delivery services in general terms and says Adult World is not responsible for their content or availability. No billing descriptor is given either, so the wording a charge will carry on a statement has to be asked of the shop. The site runs on Shopify, as its footer says, and the terms are governed by New South Wales law, with sales@adultworld.com.au given as the contact for questions about them.

Canceling an order, returns and the warranty

The cancellation rule sits in the order acceptance clause. Adult World may refuse any order, limit quantities, cancel transactions or ask for further verification, and if an order is canceled after payment has been processed, a refund is issued using the original payment method. The pages do not say how a customer can cancel an order they have placed themselves, how long that is possible, or whether a fee applies. The contact page offers a form and the terms give a sales email address, which is the route the pages point to.

The refund policy is firm on change of mind. It states that Adult World does not offer refunds, exchanges or store credits for change-of-mind purchases, and lists examples: buying the wrong item, no longer needing it, finding it cheaper elsewhere, or deciding it does not meet personal expectations. Hygiene-sealed products cannot be returned once opened or once the seal is broken, unless the product is faulty. The list covers vibrators, massagers, masturbation sleeves, anal products, Kegel devices, intimate accessories, lubricants, personal care products, and lingerie and hosiery where applicable.

For faulty goods the customer contacts Adult World as soon as possible with proof of purchase. The product goes through an assessment that may involve testing by staff or inspection by the supplier or manufacturer, and the remedy can be a replacement or a refund in line with Australian Consumer Law. The page lists what it does not treat as a manufacturing fault, including water damage to non-waterproof products, wrong charging equipment, misuse and ordinary wear. Eligible battery and rechargeable products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to statutory rights. The pages give no processing time for the assessment and say only that timeframes vary by product and supplier. If testing finds the product works, was not fully charged, was used against the instructions or simply did not suit, the item may be sent back to the customer and a refund, replacement or exchange declined. Where a product suffers a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, the refund policy says the customer may be entitled to choose a refund or a replacement.

What the money buys and who it suits

The catalog is a general toy and sexual wellness range sold through the site and its stores, with an education angle in the about page. The terms say the site may publish articles, guides, videos, interviews, podcasts and webinars, and that this content is general information and not medical, legal or relationship advice.

The offer fits a shopper who will buy one or two items, wants a code entered at a single checkout step, and is comfortable reading the total before paying. It also suits someone who prefers the option of visiting one of the stores. The caveats are plain. The terms let any promotion be modified or withdrawn at any time, change-of-mind returns are not accepted at all, and an opened hygiene-sealed product can only come back as faulty, so the choice made at checkout is close to final.
