What Adultshop is and what the offer is

Adultshop is an Australian adult retailer that sells online and through its own shops. The About page says it launched in December 1999, that it later bought a chain of adult stores in Western Australia and Tasmania and rebranded them, and that it now has 13 stores in Western Australia and 3 in Tasmania. The same page says a previous owner bought the chain and the website back from the listed public company in November 2010, and that the business was sold to new Perth-based owners in 2019. The footer names the company as GT Safro Pty Ltd, and the pages describe the business as 100% Australian owned and run from Perth. A site banner invites shoppers in Western Australia and Tasmania to visit the shops, and the page title calls it the largest sex toy store online in Australia, which is the brand's own claim.

The saving here is a clearance and sale section, not a trial or a membership. Products in the Clearance collection and in "On Sale" print a regular price beside a lower sale price, and a shipping rule makes delivery free once an order reaches a stated amount. The pages describe no first-order code, no newsletter discount and no loyalty program, so the money story rests on the marked-down stock, the delivery threshold, the buy-now-pay-later options and the refund rules that apply to discounted goods.

The sale and clearance shelves

The home page carries a "Clearance" tile described as "saving all our love for you", and the main navigation ends with "Clearance" and "On Sale". Each product card shows "Regular price" twice, once for the original and once for the sale price, with a Clearance tag on marked-down lines. The pages give no end date for the clearance shelf and do not say whether the stock is replaced over time.

In October 2026 the home page listed an air-pulse clitoral stimulator at a regular price of $179.95 with a sale price of $79.95, and the Clearance collection page showed a G-spot stimulator at a regular $329.95 against a sale price of $169.95. Those are the printed figures, quoted as printed. The rest of the shelf follows the same pattern of a struck regular price beside a lower sale price, and the clearance shelf is split by category, with its own pages for male toys and for restraints. The "On Sale" tag also turns up outside clearance, on gift sets in the gifts collection. Several clearance lines carry a sold-out button, and the site's "Current Promotions" page listed no promotion when read in October 2026.

Delivery cost and timing

Delivery within Australia is the second money lever. In October 2026 the FAQ said orders of $59 or more are delivered free within Australia and that orders under $59 are delivered at a flat rate of $10. The shipping policy opens with an "Express shipping offer" of complimentary express shipping Australia-wide above the same threshold, yet its delivery table lists the paid service as Standard eParcel with the same free-when-you-spend rule, so the policy page uses both names for the free option. It also says the team aims to process orders within 1 business day and asks for 1 to 3 business days of packing time in peak sale and holiday periods, and that orders placed over a public holiday are processed on the next business days.

The shipping policy gives estimated delivery times through Australia Post: 2 to 8 business days for metro areas, 5 to 8 business days for regional and 8 to 15 business days for rural, and it says these are estimates that vary in peak periods. A tracking email follows dispatch. Parcels go in plain packaging with no external branding or mention of AdultShop. Delivery is only within Australia and from this store only, and a PO Box is accepted. Australia Post Parcel Lockers and Parcel Collect can be used, and the policy explains Authority to Leave, with the warning that neither AdultShop nor Australia Post is responsible for parcels that go missing after delivery once it has been granted. Click and collect is not offered, though the policy suggests contacting a nearby shop to check stock.

If a parcel is lost or damaged, the policy says AdultShop cannot be held liable once the order has been handed to Australia Post, but asks for contact within 7 days of delivery.

Payment and what the statement shows

The FAQ says the store accepts Visa and MasterCard, Visa and MasterCard debit cards, PayPal, zipPay and AfterPay. Both buy-now-pay-later services have their own help pages in the footer. The pages do not name a payment processor, and they say card details are not retained after an order is processed.

The one statement detail the pages give is specific. AdultShop advises its merchant to use the narration "Ashop" for a transaction, but in some cases banks have shown the trading name of GT Safro Pty Ltd, and the store says it cannot change what a bank chooses to display. A buyer who is looking for a charge should therefore watch for either name.

Returns, refunds and cancellation

Returns are where the sale price changes the rules. The FAQ says that sale, clearance and discounted items are not eligible for a refund or exchange unless they are faulty. For change-of-mind purchases of lingerie, intimate apparel and costumes, the store gives no online credit or refund for health and hygiene reasons, and it asks shoppers to use the size guide. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items can be returned for a refund or replacement in line with Australian Consumer Law, and the store reserves the right to inspect returns and may decline a refund or replacement where the issue stems from wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or improper care.

For an online credit or refund the FAQ sets a short window and a cost. The shopper must notify the store within 5 days of receiving the order, must obtain a "Return Authorisation number" through the website, and pays all return shipping. Registered post with proof of postage is recommended because the store does not take responsibility for goods lost in transit. No page explains how to cancel an order before dispatch. Order status is available in the Members Area.

What the money buys and who it suits

The catalog spans vibrators, dildos, male toys, anal toys, sex furniture and machines, lubricants, oils and sprays, sexual wellness, essentials, bondage gear, lingerie, role play, adult games, novelties, celebrations and gifts, along with realistic dolls and sex tech. Brands that appear across the pages include Satisfyer, Womanizer, Shots Toys, CalExotics and Doc Johnson, and the store's partners page lists LELO, We-Vibe and the Eros Association among its industry partners. A buying guides section covers product types, lubricants, lingerie, cleaning and storage.

It suits a shopper whose basket clears the free-delivery threshold, who is comfortable paying through AfterPay, zipPay or PayPal, and who wants to see a regular price next to the sale price before deciding. It also suits someone in Western Australia or Tasmania who prefers a shop visit. It suits less well a buyer who wants flexible returns on a discounted item, since clearance lines are only returnable if faulty, or who wants a rewards scheme or a first-order code on top of the shelf prices.
