What AORTA films is and what the offer is

AORTA films is an independent, award-winning queer porn studio that sells streaming memberships on its own site. The complaints policy says the site is operated by AORTA FILMS LLC, a limited company registered in New York, and the about page says its founders launched it in October 2015. The FAQ describes the studio as queer and trans owned and operated, and its films as made collaboratively with performers under written contracts and consent check-ins.

Four savings sit on the membership pages. The FAQ lists a paid trial that converts to the monthly plan, and a reduced first month on the monthly plan. The join page carries a 3-month all-access pass under "This Month's Special Offers", sold as a single payment with no rebill. And every membership comes with standing member discounts on downloads, merchandise and tickets to the studio's live online events. Separately, the home page offers a first film free in exchange for joining the email list, without describing how it is delivered.

The plan ladder

The two pricing pages do not list the same plans. The join page, "Become a Member", shows an annual membership, a monthly membership and the 3-month pass. The FAQ's "What does membership Cost?" answer lists four: monthly, annual, the trial and the 3-month pass. All of them buy the same thing, full streaming access to everything on the site; the shop adds that streaming rentals have been retired, so a membership is now the only way to stream.

In October 2026 the FAQ prices the monthly plan at $14.99 every 30 days and gives a first month at $9.99, labeled as a percentage off. The join page lists the monthly plan only at its rebill price, in USD every 30 days, with no mention of the reduced first month, so which price a new member pays depends on what the checkout shows. Neither page gives an end date for the first-month price or limits it to new members.

The annual plan is printed with two different prices. As of October 2026 the FAQ gives it an initial payment of $96.00 that rebills at the same amount every 365 days, while the join page shows one payment of $108.00 rebilled every 365 days. No page explains the difference, so the figure on the checkout screen is the one that counts. The FAQ suggests gift cards from the shop for anyone who wants to give a subscription.

The trial and the 3-month pass

The trial is the entry point. The FAQ, read in October 2026, lists a trial membership at $5 for 3 days, an initial payment that converts to a monthly membership at the standard monthly rate after 3 days. The shop page's note for rental seekers describes the same entry price as a five-day trial. The two pages disagree on the length, and neither marks one as current. Nothing on either page restricts what the trial can watch, so it reads as full access for its short term.

The 3-month all-access pass is the plan that never renews. In October 2026 the join page and the FAQ both list it as one payment of $69.99 for full access for 3 months, with "No rebills". The join page files it among the month's special offers but gives no closing date. For someone wary of recurring billing it is the only plan where forgetting to cancel costs nothing more.

After the first charge

The monthly and annual plans keep billing until stopped: every 30 days on the monthly plan and every 365 days on the annual plan, at the rebill figure each page prints, which on the monthly plan is higher than the first-month price. The terms, last modified 8.19.25, say a member who does not want to renew must cancel 48 hours before the rebill date. Until the cancellation date the member authorizes charges for membership fees, any other purchases on the site and other amounts owed. Posted prices may change from time to time, and changes to the terms themselves take effect 30 days after they are posted.

No add-on is attached at sign-up. Purchases outside the membership are sold separately in the shop: single film downloads, merch and gift cards. Membership brings the discounts on them. The join page and FAQ, read in October 2026, give members 50% off all short and feature downloads, a members-only ticket price for every AORTAlive event, and a discount across the merch store.

Billing

Two billers are named. The footer of every page links CCBill Support and Epoch Support, and the contact page lists CCBill Consumer Support and Epoch Billing Support, each with an email address, a phone number and a website, along with the studio's own Brooklyn address. The join page states the monthly price in USD. The terms make members liable for fees together with all applicable taxes, and treat a billing error as accepted if it is not reported within 30 days of first appearing on a statement. No page says which biller handles which plan or names the descriptor shown on a card statement.

Getting out

The FAQ says a subscription can be canceled at any time from the My Account page. The terms add a second route: a member may terminate the account by requesting a cancellation from CCBill's Consumer Support department. Either way, the 48-hour deadline before the rebill date applies. No page says whether access continues to the end of a paid period after canceling.

Refunds are narrow and decided case by case. The terms let a member open a refund case in two situations: material advertised in the public area that does not exist in the members' area (items marked "coming soon" excluded), or a site that is inoperative for most of the subscription. The studio may ask the member to support the claim, first tries to fix the problem, and then, at its discretion, offers either an extension of the subscription or a refund. No refund case can be opened if the company enters bankruptcy or the site is closed because of state or federal regulation.

What the money buys and who it suits

A membership opens the studio's library, which the join page puts at 100+ short films and features with new films added monthly, plus the members-only Community Hardcore clip library of creator clips, the twice-yearly BEDDED festival of other studios' films and the Induction Series of guest-artist shorts. The FAQ describes the range as running from hardcore BDSM to experimental animation and documentary-style work, with a "vanilla" tag for viewers who want to avoid kink.

The trial suits someone curious about an indie queer studio who wants a few days in before the monthly rate begins, and who checks the trial length at checkout. The 3-month pass suits a viewer who wants a longer stay with no renewal to manage. The annual plan fits a member staying the year, once the checkout shows which annual price applies. Anyone who buys downloads or attends AORTAlive events gets the most from the member discounts. The caveats are the mismatched trial length and annual price between pages, and a refund rule that rests on the studio's discretion.
